Your first step starts with your lab work. It's secure and confidential.
Your lab results need to be current – within the last 6 months. If your lab results are over 6 months old, here are some options:
1. Labs can be purchased online for around $60 and you can go to any Quest Diagnostics location. Follow this link: http://www.privatemdlabs.com/?partnerid=S104. Go to the menu on the left side of the screen. Click All Tests. They’re alphabetized so scroll all of the way down until you see “New! Hormone Panel (Males Only)” for $73.99. Put it into your cart and then check out. Use coupon code MAY20 (or the first 3 letters of the current month followed by the first 2 numbers of the current year). It reduces the price of the test down into the $60 range. In an hour or so you should receive a Lab Requisition from PrivateMDLabs. Print it out and take it with you to Quest. Results are usually emailed in a day or two.
2.We can also get you a requisition to LabCorp with Viking’s volume rate of $100 (this would cost over $200 w/o our discount). This test is more extensive than Option 1 or Option 3. If you’d like this option, email Tiffanie with your request after your Intake Form has been submitted. This is one of the fastest ways to get blood work. We can usually have a requisition to you the same day, next day at the latest. And it might take 2 days to get the results back.
3. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve temporarily authorized an At Home Testing Kit for $175. It tests for Total Testosterone, Estrogen, SHBG, DHEAS, Cortisol, and Hemoglobin A1c. This is a quick and easy option if getting to a lab is difficult or inconvenient. You simply get the test in the mail, complete it at your home, put it back into the mailbox, and the results are emailed to you in about a week. Purchase the At Home Testing Kit here: https://livelikeaviking.com/product/viking-hrt-test-kit/
Next, you’ll schedule a consultation. You can do this on our Home Page at the very bottom of the page through our scheduling app. Just choose a time that works for you.
Keep in mind, you can complete your New Patient form and schedule a consultation without having labs completed. You’d just want to make sure you got your labs before your consultation date.
